Lisa Graffeo

Lisa Graffeo brings over 20 years of editorial experience to her position as Copy Editor of BPO. Since the birth of her daughter in 1992, she has focused most of her energy on being a stay-at-home mother, but has kept her hand in the editorial field through part-time work. Last year, Lisa decided to "take the plunge" and start her own business as a freelance editor/proofreader.

Born in Boston, Lisa earned a bachelor's degree in communications from Boston's Simmons College. Following graduation, she spent 12 years working for the U.S. Postal Service in the areas of Public Affairs, Marketing and Communications, and Corporate Relations. Her responsibilities included writing, editing, desktop publishing and media relations. During the past ten years, various part-time jobs have enabled Lisa to keep her editorial and desktop-publishing skills active.

Lisa lives just outside of Boston with her husband and daughter. Her interests include cooking, gardening, decorating, crafting and, of course, editing. "I particularly enjoy helping businesses and individuals improve their professional image and achieve greater success by correcting errors in their writing before the rest of the world sees them!"
